LinMin's optional Windows Provisioning Module (WPM) makes it very easy and cost-effective to provision (remotely and natively install) Windows Server 2008 (including R2) and Windows 7 operating systems on servers, PCs/notebooks, blades and virtual machines.

From simple Windows installations, as done from DVD, to complex deployments requiring application installations and scripting, LinMin's customizable framework meets your needs now and in the future. This tutorial will enable to effectively provision modern Windows operating systems.

Provisioning Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 in 3 easy steps:

1)Prepare your Windows OS media: LBMP automatically converts your Microsoft-supplied ISOs into provisionable or LinMin Server-ready ISOs. Simply point your LinMin Server to your Microsoft OS media and the LinMin Server does the rest in under 5 minutes.
2)Create a "Windows Installation Instance" by selecting a Windows Edition (e.g., Windows 7 Pro or Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise) and providing your Product Key, language, time zone, computer name, etc. This Install Instance can be used on 1 system or 10,000.
3)Deploy Windows using MAC-Specific or MAC-Independent provisioning. Use a browser or integrate LinMin Bare Metal Provisioning into your control panel or other IT application using our API (Application Programming Interface).
