LinMin Bare Metal Provisioning ("LBMP") and Cisco Server Provisioner ("Provisioner") are delivered as a software appliance that you install on an Intel architecture-based system or virtual machine running the latest 64-bit version of either Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS 5.x (download CentOS 5.9 x86_64 for free). LBMP and Provisioner do not run on RHEL/CentOS 6.x at this time. If running on a Virtual Machine, the supported host hypervisor is VMware ESXi (not ESX and not Workstation). All required additional software components (database, network services, etc.) are automatically downloaded at product installation time.
Once you have installed LBMP or Provisioner, using the provided media management scripts, upload your operating system ISO files (or DVDs/CDs) and then start provisioning Windows, Linux and ESX/ESXi on servers, blades, PCs, appliances and virtual machines in minutes. To perform backup and restore operations, simply enter a client system's network (MAC) address in the GUI and reboot the client system. It's that easy!
Note: LBMP and Provisioner are delivered with support for provisioning English language Operating Systems and Hypervisors only. Supporting the provisioning of other languages is the responsibility of the user.
